DAY 1: Individual arrival in San Salvatore Sinis (On request possibility of organizing transfers)
The arrival in San Salvatore Sinis, the western village in Sardinia, is followed by the meeting with the guide for a briefing about the tour. Free day with a recommended visit to the old village. Dinner and overnight.
The West, the one of cowboys and Indians, right here, in the middle of Sardinia. Maybe you will not believe, but it really exists! An old uninhabited country where the Old West lives on in this "magical place." What are we talking about? San Salvatore di Sinis, a village which in the past was used as a movie set and, still today, shows to the eyes of visitors the sets of many films shot here.
DAY 2: Sinis Peninsula. (52km, 50 mt of elevation gain)
Travel through the fascinating Sinis peninsula, protected sea area, where you can see colonies of pink flamingos and reach the beautiful quartz beach of Is Arutas with the Phoenician ruins of Tharros. Free remaining day. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Costa Verde and Dunes of Piscinas. (56km, 540 of elevation gain)
We cycle through the natural beauty of the places of the Costa Verde, along Piscinas beach with its sand dunes over 50 m high, among the highest in Europe. Arrival at the hotel that hosts us. Free remaining day. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: Arbus - Gonnesa. Old mines. (41km 910 mt of elevation gain)
This stage takes you back into the ancient mining past of Sardinia, going through the fascinating abandoned mines of Masua and Acquaresi. After the golden beach of Portixeddu and a stunning view on the blue crystal clear sea and the long white beach, you can admire the old washery at Nebida, a former mining village of the Sulcis-Iglesias, dominated by the distinctive Sugar Loaf, a small island in 133 meters high limestone declared a natural monument. DAY 5: Gonnesa - Calasetta. Carloforte island (45km 230 mt of elevation gain)
After a beautiful descent to Fontanamare, we get to Portoscuso to board the ferry to Carloforte, famous for bluefin tuna fishing. From Carloforte, we continue to the island of Sant'Antioco to end the day in Calasetta. Arrival at the hotel that hosts us. Free remaining day. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: Sulcis. (40km 220 mt of elevation gain)
We ride through vineyards and olive groves to enjoy the tranquility of the rolling plains of Sulcis. At Tratalias, we visit the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Monserrato, one of the most important monuments of the Sardinian Romanesque. We continue along the lake of Monte Pranu enjoying the sweetness and tranquility of the countryside of the Sulcis. Arrival at the hotel. Free remaing day. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: The South Coast. (40km 200 mt of elevation gain)
Grand finale for our tour is the impressive arrival in the South Coast, with its white beaches, blooming natural landscape and imposing cliffs: Cape Malfatano with its tower of the 16th century and Cape Spartivento. The archelogical area of Nora will show you the ancient Phoenician settlement. Pula welcomes us at the end of our trip. Free remaining day. Dinner and overnight.
